Manuscript requirements

MANUSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS

The manuscript must be submitted to the publisher on electronic media (floppy disks, CDs, flash) or via e-mail. Handwritten inserts are not allowed.

If you are using MS Word, you should adhere to the following rules.

1. The text must be on an A4 format with a margin of the given fields (left, right, bottom – 2.5 cm, top – 2.0 cm), it must be in Times New Roman (Cyr) font size 12, with a 1.2 line spacing. Indentation should be the same throughout the text at 1 cm (this is not allowed to be created with individual spaces or by pressing “tab”). Quotation marks («»), brackets ([ ], ( )), markers and other signs should be kept the same throughout the materials provided.

2. Headings and Subheadings should be made with the same style throughout the work and are to be separated from the main text by 1 interval and centered. Headings (section titles) should be written in capital letters, and subtitles (or sub-sections) should be lowercase. Hyphenated titles are not allowed. Periods are not placed at the end of headers. Titles of the articles are to be in Russian and English.

3. Author's names and places of work are to be listed in Russian and in English after the article's title. You must also provide e-mail for communication with the authors.

4. Abstract are to be 1 font size smaller and in intented italics at 3 cm, after the header. The abstract is to be in Russian and English.

5. Key words should be specified after the abstract in Russian and English in Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 12.

6. Formulas, even those consisting of a single character, are to be drawn using Equation Editor or MathType. Positively not to be admitted is replacement of Latin and Greek characters with seemingly-looking Cyrillic ones as well as replacement of the summation sign with a capital sigma character. In case Cyrillic characters need to be used in formulae, those shall be typed in text style.

8. References for every source should be provided in the language if its publication, to be placed at the end of the manuscript in the order mention in the text. References should only include the sources that the author has directly referred to in the text. References to unpublished works are not permitted. Within the text, links to the references should be given in square brackets. References should be made in accordance with GOST.

9. Hyphenation should be automatic (service, language, hyphenation). Do not use forced (manual) hyphenation.

10. Drawings, graphs, and charts must be made in graphic editors supporting vector graphics. It is required to provide all images as separate files in the source image format. Graphic illustrations must also be attached as separate files in the original graphic format. Originals of scanned images should be provided at a high quality (at least 300 dpi). All figures must be numbered and have captions (font size 11, italic, centered, a period is not placed at the end.)

11. Tables should be created in the table mode (add table), not to be drawn by hand, not to be out of scale. If the table is too large it should be placed on its own page. Font 11. The word “Table” should be placed in the upper right corner, and the name of the tables centered (not bold, not italic, font size 12). Each table should be located after the reference to it (ex. Table 1.) and have a caption and thematic heading. The table's width should not be more than one line of text. If an article has one figure or one table, they are not to be numbered. Figures and tables should not interrupt the text, and must be located at the end of a paragraph.
